Police use Taser to disable man
A Taser weapon was used by police to disarm a man who threatened to harm family members with a knife.

Police were called to a property in Little Baddow, Essex, at about 0630 BST on Sunday.

A woman had to be taken to hospital with a head injury after she jumped from a bedroom window to escape, a police spokesman said.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and threats to kill an officer.

About 15 officers surrounded the house and attempted to speak to the man inside.

But the spokesman said he refused to co-operate so armed officers went into the house and incapacitated him with a Taser weapon.
