Cup game changes wedding day plan
A couple have brought forward their wedding day to prevent it clashing with their team's big FA Cup match.

Colchester fans Ian Rumsey, 39, and Edwina Foskew, 38, planned to marry on Sunday, thinking the club would be playing on Saturday.

But Colchester's dream fixture with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was switched to Sunday so it could be shown on TV.

The vicar at the Ipswich church managed to rearrange the service to Saturday leaving them free to go to the match.

Miss Foskew said: "Ian is a season ticket holder, my father, John, is a season ticket holder and our four boys are supporters.

"It would not just have been a wedding without the groom, it would have been without the groom, the bride's father and two pageboys. I am really pleased that we managed to rearrange everything."

Miss Foskew, a community nurse, also said that a draw could spell disaster for the couple's honeymoon plans with a trip to Lanzarote hanging in the balance should the club earn a replay.
