More than 300 pupils in south Essex were forced to stay at home after a suspected arson attack at their school.
The fire badly damaged classrooms and the kitchen at Southend High School for Girls on Boxing Day.
Contractors are securing the building and a temporary kitchen is being brought onto the site.
Security systems at the school have also been tightened after the incident, which Essex police officers are saying could be suspicious.
