A 45-year-old man has been convicted of raping a pensioner and burgling her Essex home.
Cuthbert Flavien, 45, of Wager Street, Bow, east London, has been on trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court for the past two-and-a-half weeks.
The court heard Flavien attacked the woman from Buckhurst Hill in May 2004.
Flavien was convicted of one count of rape and one count of burglary and jailed for life. The tariff will be set on 18 November.
