TV screens to be placed in trains
Rail users in Essex may soon be able to watch news bulletins, adverts and travel information on their journey.

The rail operator C2c said TV screens will be placed in all of their trains, if safety tests are successful.

But some rail users with The Thurrock Rail Users campaign group are unhappy about the proposals.

Rail user Steven Willingale said: "We would like to see a coach signposted so that people can have quiet away from mobile phones and these televisions."

He added: "At present, there are quiet zones with just a few seats at the end of one carriage."
