Funeral for holiday bomb victims

The funeral will take place on Canvey Island

The funeral is due to take place on Thursday of a mother and daughter who died in a suicide bombing in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

Valerie Bracci, 70, from Canvey Island and Lesley Ayers, 50, from Basildon died in a blast at a hotel in July.

The pair were on holiday in the Red Sea resort when the bomb struck the hotel in which they were staying.

An inquest in Chelmsford in August revealed a post mortem showed Lesley Ayer's death was due to blast injuries.

Since then the body of Valerie Bracci has been repatriated for identification.

The pair are to be buried after a funeral service at St Nicholas church on Canvey Island.
