Three people accused of smuggling cocaine into the UK by hiding it the underbellies of two dogs have been remanded in custody.
Glenroy Kentish, 27, of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, Gregory Graham, 26, of Harrow, Middlesex, and Sophia McPherson, 23, of Luton, Bedfordshire, were remanded in custody by magistrates in Harlow, Essex on Tuesday.
The three, who were arrested at Stansted Airport on 2 October, will next to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 14 October.
It is alleged cocaine was found inside two Labrador dogs when they arrived at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam after being transported from Colombia.
Police allege the drugs were on their way to Britain.
Four other people arrested at Stansted Airport have been bailed to return to an Essex police station on various dates in December.
