Man arrested over Dorset gun shop raid

A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a gun shop in which a number of firearms were stolen.

The TAL Arms gun and sports shop in Fairmile Road, Christchurch, was raided just before 0400 BST.

Shortly after the alarm was raised, police stopped a white Mazda MPS in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth, and found a quantity of guns in the boot.

A 20-year-old man was arrested. Police believe the car had earlier been stolen from Ringwood Road, Poole.

The weapons found in the car are being forensically examined.

The suspect is being questioned.
