Six arrests after man hurt in Poole street fight

A man has been seriously hurt and six people have been arrested after a fight in Poole, Dorset.

Police attended the scene outside Branksome Library in Ashley Road, Parkstone, after reports of a fight shortly after midnight on Saturday.

A number of people ran off from the scene but were caught by officers nearby, a Dorset Police spokesman said.

A 40-year-old man was found on the ground and was taken by ambulance to hospital. He is in a serious condition.

Six local men, aged from their mid 20s to mid 30s, were arrested for public order offences.
