Crash after lorry sends deer into traffic on Dorset A35

Four cars and a motorbike crashed after a lorry hit a deer sending it flying into oncoming traffic on a main road in east Dorset.

Officers want to trace the lorry driver, who did not stop at the scene on the A35 at Slepe on Thursday night.

The motorcyclist suffered an injured hip and was taken to hospital. Nobody else was seriously hurt.

Police said two deer had run out on the road and one was hit. The A35 was shut causing severe disruption in the area.
