Fuel tanker crash victim is named

A 70-year-old woman killed when her car collided with a petrol tanker in Dorset has been named as Wendy Rumbold.

The teacher from Bournemouth suffered serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash in Mill Street, on the A31 in Wimborne, on Thursday.

The 44-year-old male tanker driver, from South Wales, was shocked but not injured.

He was travelling to Bere Regis when the collision happened at the junction with the B3074, Blandford Road.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or the car or tanker being driven prior to the collision.
