Views sought over park's future

Residents from 1,000 households in Bournemouth are being asked their opinions on the future of one of the town's parks.

Bournemouth Borough Council is planning a range of improvements to Knyveton Gardens after it lost its Green Flag status in July.

The proposals include converting one of the tennis courts into a multi-use games area or a children's play area.

The public consultation will continue into December.

The results are expected to be known before Christmas.

Other suggestions include resurfacing all three tennis courts and introducing an informal grassed area.

Improvements to the park would be funded by contributions from developers.

Green Flag Awards are given to the best green spaces around the UK. Bournemouth has nine green flag parks and gardens.
