Girl attacked by man in alleyway

A man who attacked a teenage girl in an alleyway in Bournemouth is being sought by police.

The 17-year-old was walking between Kinson Road and Moorside Road in East Howe on Wednesday evening when a man tried to engage her in conversation.

He then pushed her to the ground from behind but ran off towards Kinson Road when someone nearby shouted out, police said.

The girl suffered cuts to her hands and was left very shaken.

Det Con Andrew Burley said he wanted to speak to the person who interrupted the attacker by shouting at him.

The attacker was described as aged between 18 and 21, about 5ft 5in and of thin build with a gaunt face and a deep voice.

He smelled strongly of cigarettes and he was wearing a grey hood with a black jacket and black track-suit trousers.
