Rape charge after gardens attack

A 21-year-old student has been charged with the rape of a woman who was attacked in Bournemouth Gardens as she walked home from a party.

The 26-year-old victim was dressed in a nurse's fancy dress outfit when she was punched in the face and head in the early hours of Sunday.

She was treated at Poole Hospital and released later that day.

Rasuljon Kuchkarov, of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will appear before Bournemouth magistrates on Friday.
