Murder bid charged youth in court

A 17-year-old has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was left unconscious in a Bournemouth alleyway.

Nicolas Verron, 25, was found with life-threatening head injuries in Roumelia Lane, Boscombe, on 4 July.

The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Winchester Crown Court. The case was referred to Bournemouth Crown Court on 16 October.

Mr Verron, a telecoms salesman, is "critical but stable" in hospital.
