Man killed in head-on collision

A 20-year-old man has died in a head-on crash involving two cars in Dorset.

Police said he was driving a Hyundai which was in collision with a Mercedes on a bend on the Old Sherborne Road at Cerne Abbas on Wednesday evening.

The other driver, a 56-year-old man from Sherborne, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.

The Hyundai driver, from Weymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene. Dorset police have appealed for witnesses.
