Man arrested over sexual assault

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault on a woman in Bournemouth.

The victim, aged 26, was dressed in a nurse's fancy dress outfit when she was attacked in Bournemouth Gardens as she walked home from a party.

She was sexually assaulted and punched in the face and head in the early hours of Sunday. She was treated at Poole Hospital and released later that day.

The arrested man, from Bournemouth, was held on Tuesday night, police said.
