Crews battle another heath blaze

Firefighters have tackled another heath fire in Dorset, the latest in a spate of blazes in the area.

Dorset Fire and Rescue sent four fire engines and two Land Rovers to fight the fire at Talbot Heath in Bournemouth at about 1415 BST.

About 25 firefighters spent an hour battling the blaze which covered 600sqm (0.15 acres) of heath land.

A spokesman for the fire service said it has fought 51 heath fires between 1 January and 25 May 2009.
