The family of a 33-year-old Hampshire man missing in Nepal for three months are renewing their appeal for information to help find him.

Julian Wynne, from Fareham, has not been see since he set off alone to Everest Base Camp on 23 December.

His brother-in-law, Greg Crowter, went to the area in January to lead a search team but nothing was found.

The family are asking people travelling to Nepal and guides working with climbers to keep looking for Julian.

Mr Crowter, who lives in Australia, told the BBC that during his search he discovered that Julian had stayed in a hostel and then set off alone on a trail on 23 December.

He said: "The guides that went with us [on the search] are back up in the area trekking now and there are other people who have gone lately that are going to distribute more posters.

"So we're certainly trying to find out whatever we can. Of course Julian is there somewhere."

But Mr Crowter admitted that after seeing the area where Mr Wynne went missing "it was very unlikely" that he would ever be found alive.

Mr Wynne left England for India in October for a nine-month trip, which was to take in Nepal and the Himalayas.
