Arsonists blamed for heath fire

Arsonists are thought to be behind a large heath fire which raged in area near a Dorset Army camp.

Firefighters spent almost two hours tackling a blaze on heathland adjacent to Cologne Road, close to Bovington Camp in Wareham.

The fire service was alerted at about 1130 GMT on Sunday. A spokeswoman said: "The cause is believed to be malicious."

Dorset Police have also been at the scene, she added.
