Man stabbed by gang of burglars

A man has been stabbed by a gang who burgled his Dorset home.

Detectives are investigating the attack at a property in River Way, Christchurch, in which a 26-year-old man sustained stab wounds.

Three men had entered his home on Saturday evening and assaulted him. A 23-year-old woman who was also in the house at the time was unhurt.

Police said a number of items were stolen, but they would not give details of what.

The victim was treated in hospital for serious but not life threatening injuries.

Two of the three attackers were described as white and were wearing dark clothing.

The third attacker is black and was also wearing dark clothing.
