The mother of a man found stabbed to death in a Dorset garden has described him as a "most loving, thoughtful and protective" son.
Luke Campbell, 20, from Belper in Derbyshire, was found in the garden of a house in Boscombe in Bournemouth, on Saturday.
In a statement Mr Campbell's mother Hazel said the university student "always put others before himself".
Two men, aged 20 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of his murder.
In the statement, released through Dorset Police, Ms Campbell said her son had given up two years of his life to nurse and care for his father who was ill with multiple sclerosis.
"He was the most loving, thoughtful, protective and loyal son a mother could ever wish for," she said.
"Luke always put others before himself.
"He cared deeply for all his family and had an amazing gift of making us laugh, no matter how down a person felt."

Don't turn a blind eye to this depravity; thinking it could never happen to someone you love

Mr Campbell was a first-year student on a BSc (Hons) in Software Systems at Bournemouth University.
His body was spotted by a passer-by in a communal garden behind a semi-detached property, which has been converted into several flats.
His mother has appealed for anyone with information about the "mindless and cowardly" attack to come forward.
She said: "If anyone has any information whatsoever concerning this despicable act - which has absolutely devastated all our lives and changed it forever - please have the humanity in realising the enormity of taking away the life of such a young man.
"Don't turn a blind eye to this depravity, thinking it could never happen to someone you love."
Mr Campbell's sister Raana, added: "Anyone who met Luke would probably note how passionate he was about his music from the outset. He had just produced a new rap cover to be released and Luke loved expressing himself through lyrics.
"My brother did not deserve to have his life taken away like this."
Two men, who were detained in London, were still being questioned by police in Dorset.
Officers said they were keeping an open mind as to a motive.
