Police believe they have found a BMX bike owned by a 20-year-old man found stabbed to death in Dorset.

Luke Campbell was found dead in the garden of a house in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, Dorset, on Saturday.

A green Apollo Awesome bike, thought to be the victim's, was found off Churchill Road on Tuesday following a phone call from a member of the public.

Police had earlier said anyone who may have stumbled upon the bicycle and stolen it had "nothing to fear".

The bicycle, which was found near to where Mr Campbell's body was discovered, is being forensically examined.

Det Ch Insp Neil Redstone, of Dorset Police, said: "I am very grateful to the media for their help in publicising our search for the bicycle and I feel sure that the bicycle was found thanks to that media coverage."

Mr Campbell, of St John's Road, Boscombe, was found dead at the bottom of a communal garden behind the property, which comprises of several flats.

His body was found by a walker. Post-mortem tests revealed he died from a stab wound to the chest.
