Men rescued from sinking vessel

The crew of a passing vessel have rescued two fishermen after their boat sank in a Dorset bay.

Portland Coastguard said it received a call from a vessel called the Mellow Yellow, which had picked up the pair in Swanage Bay at about 1120 BST.

Both Swanage RNLI lifeboats were launched and the two fishermen, who were uninjured, were taken to safety.

It is unclear at this stage what cause the boat to sink, according to a Coastguard spokesman.
