Fears are growing for the welfare of a 13-year-old Bournemouth schoolgirl who disappeared from her home a week ago.

Chelsie O'Donegan was last seen in Longfleet Road, Poole, on Friday, but failed to return to her home in Christchurch Road, Boscombe.

She is known to frequent Boscombe's pedestrian precinct and officers believe she is still in the area, possibly staying with friends.

Dorset police are urging anyone with information to contact them.

Chelsie is 5ft 5in tall, of slim build with blue eyes and long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a peach-coloured top with a hood, a white T-shirt, light-coloured jeans and black shoes.

Pc John Green, of Dorset Police, said: "It's important that we find Chelsie so that we can be sure that she's safe and well and has come to no harm.

"I'd urge Chelsie and anyone who knows where she is to call the police straight away."
