Three workmen hurt in hotel fall

Three workmen were injured when they fell from the second floor balcony of a Dorset hotel while fitting iron work.

The men fell on to a porch at the Mansion House Hotel, Thames St, Poole, on Thursday afternoon.

One man, badly hurt and suffering from shock, was rescued by fire crews. He was taken to Poole Hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The other two men suffered minor injuries. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) was informed.
