Thieves drive stolen car at woman

The Ford Cortina Crusader estate car had been specially customised

A woman was injured when a stolen car was driven at her in Dorset.

Kerry White, whose partner owns the car, saw two men stealing the distinctive Ford Cortina Crusader from Hasler Road in Poole on Thursday.

The 28-year-old ran into the road in front of the car and shouted at the men who reversed and drove at her.

She jumped out of the way but managed to grab a wing mirror before being thrown clear. She was treated in hospital for a head injury.

Det Cons Sarah-Jane Gedge, of Poole police, said: "This was a callous act by the thieves and I'm committed to finding the two men who were seen driving off in the car.

"I'd urge anyone who knows the identity of the thieves or who knows the whereabouts of the car, to call the police."

The two men are described as white and in their late teens or early 20s.

The driver was wearing a grey long-sleeved jacket and baseball cap and the front seat passenger was wearing a long-sleeved dark top or jacket.
