Two week appeal for missing girl

Police are still trying to trace a 16-year-old schoolgirl missing for almost two weeks from her Dorset home.

Jodie Jeffery was last seen in Dorchester on the morning of 1 May when she attended Thomas Hardye School before leaving class early.

Her family said they were "extremely worried" about the teenager's safety and whereabouts.

She was wearing a white-hooded jumper, grey trousers and white trainers. She is 5ft 6in tall and softly spoken.

Sgt Matt Chutter, of Dorset Police, said: "Jodie's family are extremely worried about her and want her to return home to them.

"I'd urge Jodie - and anybody who knows of her whereabouts - to contact Dorset Police."
