Two people have been charged with manslaughter following two unconnected deaths on the same day and in the same road of a Dorset seaside town.

Jamie Lee Sloane, 18, from Christchurch, has been charged over the death of student Nathan Ridler, 17.

Also, Jeremy Mark Warren, 29, from Bournemouth, has been charged over the death of plasterer Jason Peers, 38.

Both of the accused appeared before magistrates in Bournemouth on Tuesday and were remanded in custody.

The victims died in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth in the early hours of Sunday. Police said the attacks were unrelated.

Nathan Ridler was attacked outside a Subway outlet at 0200 GMT on Sunday.

Mr Peers, from Bournemouth, was assaulted outside the Dolphin Pub just after midnight on Sunday.
