Woman dies after clifftop plunge
A woman has died after falling from cliffs into the sea at a Dorset beauty spot, police said.

The woman, in her 50s, had fallen from a clifftop at Anvil Point, in Swanage, at about 1340 GMT on Sunday.

A rescue operation was launched when coastguards and police, who were attending to a fallen climber, found the woman had fallen 300m (984ft) away.

The climber, a 22-year-old man, was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital, in Dorchester, with serious head injuries.

The woman was also taken to Dorset County Hospital where she later died, police said.
