19-year-old Ruby is being assessed for a potential psychopathic disorder

A teenager who stabbed three schoolgirls after they teased him on a bus journey has been detained in hospital for further psychiatric tests.
Ian Ruby, 19, attacked Kirsty Edwards, 17, Charlotte Teague, 14, and Sophie Hyne, 15, as they got off a bus in Bridport, Dorset, on 23 August 2006.
The case was adjourned to allow time for assessment before he is sentenced.
Medical experts believe Ruby has Asperger's syndrome and could suffer from a potential psychopathic disorder.
The case has previously been adjourned on four occasions for psychiatric reports and he was sent to Broadmoor Hospital in Crowthorn, Berkshire.
Hospital capture
The interim hospital order has now been extended for a further 28 days.
Michelle Teague, Charlotte's mother, said they just wanted closure but said she was not expecting the sentencing to take place until next year.
"There's not a lot I can do to change it. They say he has his rights," Ms Teague said.
"I don't want to explain what she (Charlotte) is going through at the moment. She is going through too much."
Ruby, who was unemployed and lived with his mother in Bridport, was caught at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey three days after the stabbings.
He had gone to casualty with a severe cut to his finger, sustained during the attack, and a nurse alerted police.
Ruby admitted three charges of wounding with intent during a hearing at Dorchester Crown Court last November.
He also admitted possessing a knife and a machete at a hospital in Chertsey when he was arrested on 26 August.
