Torrential rain hits Dorset towns
Severe flooding has hit roads in several residential areas throughout Dorset causing drivers major problems.

There have been floods in Bournemouth and Poole, with roads submerged and drains overflowing.

The Wessex Way northbound, the main dual carriageway out of Bournemouth, is flooded and Dorset Police have had reports of cars skidding.

In Poole, some areas in the Bourne Valley are so flooded that manhole covers are being lifted off.

There has been flooding in the Kinson and Ensbury Park areas of Bournemouth, most severely in Columbia Road where the high waters have trapped vehicles on the road.

Dorset police are attending the scenes of the worst flooding to minimise traffic problems.
