Walkers prepare for 24-hour trek
More than 200 long-distance walkers are preparing to spend over 24 hours covering 1,000km between them.

The walkers will start at Wey Valley School in Weymouth on 28 April and finish there on 29 April after hiking through the night.

The route, which is intended to take in the Dorset countryside, will be staffed by 50 volunteers at seven village halls hired for the event.

It is the second year the hike, called the Dorset Giant, has taken place.
