Brawl at police Christmas party
Several off-duty police officers were injured during a brawl at a Christmas party, it has been revealed.

Dorset Police confirmed the officers received "minor injuries" in attempting to deal with a disturbance at the Kings Head Hotel in Wimborne on 22 December.

"There were a large number of people present at the incident so it will take some time to resolve," said police.

A 20-year-old man from Corfe Mullen, who was not a police officer, was arrested and later released on bail.

'Minor incident'

A 32-year-old man, a police officer, was taken to Poole Hospital with minor injuries and later released.

A police spokesman said: "A minor public order incident occurred at the Kings Head public house in Wimborne.

"Off-duty police officers were present at the incident and several received injuries in attempting to deal with the incident."

He said police were "continuing their inquiries".

Landlord Adam Fagg confirmed the room was being used by police for their Christmas party but did not wish to comment.
