Police have arrested a man in connection with a "sustained and frenzied" knife attack on three girls.
Paramedics treated the victims at the scene of the stabbing
A 20-year-old Bridport man was detained by police in the Seaton area of East Devon on Thursday.
The arrest follows an attack on three teenage girls at 1750 BST on Wednesday as they left the number 31 bus in the centre of Bridport, in Dorset.
Dorset Police said there may have been a dispute between the girls and their attacker before the stabbing.
Charlotte Teague, 14, Sophie Hyne, 15, both from Bridport, and Kirsty Edwards, 17, from Staffordshire, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said 14-year-old Charlotte has been moved from intensive care to a general ward where she remains in a stable condition.
Kirsty, 17, who was on holiday in Dorset visiting her two friends, and Sophie are also in a stable condition on a general ward.
Officers sealed off East Street in the town after the stabbing and have stepped up patrols in the area.
On Thursday police, who described the attack as "sustained and frenzied", also raided a house in Alexandra Road, Bridport.
