Police investigating a serious sexual assault on a teenage girl have named a man they would like to trace.
Richard Ewing, 41 and from Weymouth, is described as "extremely dangerous" and anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him and to call 999.
Detectives want to question Mr Ewing over the attack on a 17-year-old in Weymouth on Saturday evening.
Mr Ewing has two distinctive tattoos - an anchor on his left thumb and a cross on his left forearm.
He also has dots on the knuckles of his left hand and is described as 5ft 10in and of muscular build. Police believe he also rides a yellow mountain bike.
Nationwide search
Det Ch Insp Neil Redstone said: "Mr Ewing is extremely dangerous and should not be approached by the public. Anyone who sees him, or who has any information, should call Dorset Police immediately.
"I would appeal to Mr Ewing, or anyone who knows him and his whereabouts, to please contact Dorset Police as a matter of urgency. All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence.
"We are conducting a major search operation for Mr Ewing in the Weymouth area and we are also liaising with the Devon and Cornwall Police as well as other forces around the country. Mr Ewing's description has been circulated to police forces nationwide."
The local teenager was attacked as she walked across fields near Cockles Lane, Lanehouse, Weymouth, at about 1800 BST on Saturday.
