Bike rally sparks traffic warning
Motorists are being warned to avoid parts of Dorset during an annual motorbike rally that is set to see hundreds of bikes take to the roads.

Police say traffic delays are expected on Saturday as 600 bikers take a "ride out" from Warmwell to Weymouth, as part of the Harley Davidson Rally.

The bikes will travel in convoy via Warmwell Cross Roundabout, onto the A353 and then to the Weymouth seafront.

Some roads will be temporarily closed to allow the convoy to pass.

Police bikes will also accompany the riders to help keep it as compact as possible.

The convoy will travel along the length of Weymouth seafront to the Pavilion, where they turn and retrace their route back as far as the Lodmoor Country Park.

Road users are asked to avoid the A353, Preston Road, and Weymouth sea front, between 1130 and 1215 BST.

The three-day weekend event is being held at the Warmwell Leisure Centre and has been organised by the New Forest Harley Davidson Owners' Group.
