New fire rages across heathland
More than 20 firefighters have tackled another fire that has destroyed 150 square metres of Dorset heathland.

The blaze engulfed trees and undergrowth at Moor Valley Country Park at Ashley Heath on Saturday afternoon.

It is thought to have been started by arsonists, a Dorset Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said.

It took firefighters more than two hours to bring the blaze under control. Last month a fire destroyed 100 hectares (247 acres) of Canford Heath.

The scene at the park will be re-inspected by firefighters on Sunday afternoon.
