Two due in court over injured man

Two men have been charged with serious assault after a man was found with life-threatening head injuries.

Police discovered the 31-year-old victim after being called to Bargates in Christchurch, Dorset, on Friday.

The Christchurch man was treated at Royal Bournemouth Hospital before being transferred to Southampton General Hospital, where he was "stable".

Two Christchurch men, aged 23 and 29, are set to appear before Bournemouth magistrates on Saturday.
