Search called off for wreck diver
A major air and sea search for a 48-year-old diver missing since Thursday afternoon has been called off.

The woman was reported missing by crew from the Swanage-based dive boat, Killer Prawn, after she failed to resurface while diving off Dorset.

She was last seen by her dive buddy while exploring the Kyarra wreck, about one mile south-east of Anvil Point.

Portland Coastguard called off their search on Friday after failing to find any trace of the Cambridgeshire woman.

A spokeswoman said: "At 1230 BST, after an extensive 24-hour search, Portland Coastguard concluded the search for a missing diver.

"Sadly, no sign of the diver has been found."

Passing ships are being asked to keep a look out in the area.
