Cove body is one of missing boys

Police searching for two boys who were swept off cliffs by a wave confirmed a body found on a beach is that of missing teenager Matthew Myburgh.

The body of the 16-year-old was found by a local man in Lulworth Cove, Dorset, early on Wednesday.

Following a search of the shoreline another body was discovered in the afternoon, but has not been identified.

Matthew and his friend Charlie Morrell, 15, disappeared into the sea while fishing last Thursday evening.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "The body recovered this morning has formally been identified as that of 16-year-old Matthew Myburgh. Our thoughts are with his family at this time."

The boys, from the local area, went missing in heavy rain and strong winds, where waves up to 9ft (2.7m) battered the cove.
