Drunk teenager sparks sea rescue
A drunk teenager sparked a large land and sea search by leaving his mobile phone by the water's edge.

The 17-year-old had been out drinking with friends in a Poole nightclub, and was described a "paralytically drunk" when he became separated from them.

His friends alerted the police after finding his mobile phone near the water in Poole Harbour, Dorset.

A search by Portland Coastguards and police was called off after the boy was found asleep in a car at Hamworthy.

The Portland Coastguard helicopter and two boats, along with the RNLI and a police helicopter took part in the operation.
