Man remanded in 1988 murder case
A 54-year-old man has been charged with murder after a police review of a death in Dorset 17 years ago.

Francis MacDonald, from Glasgow, is accused of murdering Samuel Williamson, 58, on 10 August 1988.

Magistrates in Bournemouth remanded him in custody to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 29 September.

The charge follows a review by Dorset Police into the death of Mr Williamson, whose body was found at an address in Cotlands Road in Bournemouth.
