Man in court over baby's injuries

Graham Draper from Plymouth is charged with causing GBH to an infant

A 25-year-old Plymouth man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm to an infant.

Graham Draper appeared at Plymouth Magistrates' Court after a three-month-old baby was admitted to hospital with "non-accidental" injuries on Saturday.

The infant, who is from the St Judes area of Plymouth, is currently in a stable condition in intensive care.

Mr Draper was remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on 15 February.

A second person arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been bailed.
