Bicycle road crash victim named

A cyclist who died in a crash on a main road in Devon has been named as Simon Evans, 38, from Derby.

He and another cyclist were involved in a collision with a Peugeot 106 car on Friday on the A30 at Tedburn St Mary, near Exeter.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old woman from Okehampton, was arrested and bailed by police until 7 December.

The other cyclist was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises, said Devon and Cornwall Police.
