Man 'stable' following stabbing

A 34-year-old man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in Cornwall.

The man, who has not been named but comes from Penzance, suffered multiple wounds in the attack on Sunday night.

Police were called to Market Jew Street in Penzance at about 2120 BST following reports of a disturbance. They found the injured man in a nearby street.

A 32-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

However, they are appealing for anyone who was in the Market Jew Street area of Penzance between 2100 BST and 2200 BST and who may have seen a row between two men to get in touch.
