Classic rally attracts hundreds

Nearly 300 classic vehicles take part in the annual Devon Coastal Run rally

Hundreds of classic cars, lorries and buses from all over the country have taken part in an annual rally in Devon.

The aim of the Devon Coastal Run, which began more than 30 years ago, is to celebrate a time when motor cars were considered to be a luxury.

Nearly 300 vehicles were at the event in Teignmouth, which was organised by the Historic Transport Club.

"These are from a bygone age - none of these are driven by electronics or computers," organiser John Corah said.
