Mobility scooter crash man dies

An elderly mobility scooter driver has died after a road accident on a pedestrian crossing in Plymouth.

The 82-year-old man from Plymouth was in collision with a silver BMW at the crossing on Exeter Street.

The crash between the vehicles happened at the junction with Sutton Road at about 1330 BST on 8 July.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said that the scooter rider died two days later and the force was appealing for witnesses.
