New buyer is sought for care home

Administrators have been called in to help safeguard the future of a care home in Devon.

Chantry Care Services, which is based in Crediton, looks after adults with learning and physical disabilities.

Accounting company Vantis Business Recovery Services were appointed as administrators for the residential care home on Wednesday.

The firm will continue to operate the care home while a purchaser is sought to carry on running the business.

Chris Stevens, one of the administrators, said: "We are working closely with the social services and regulatory authorities to continue trading the home whilst seeking a purchaser for the business as a going concern."
