Swine flu case at boarding school

A teacher at a private boarding school in Devon has tested positive for swine flu, the Health Protection Agency said.

The teacher was among two staff members at Kelly College near Tavistock who were suspected of having the illness.

The college, which has about 350 pupils, said it would stay open as both patients were isolated and there was no evidence that the virus had spread.

Headmaster Dr Graham Hawley said he was "delighted" that both staff were making a "swift recovery".

The South West has had 164 cases of swine flu out of the total 6,538 diagnosed in the UK, according to the Health Protection Agency.
